Daytime "Knott's Spooky Farm" Fun!

Knott’s Berry Farm is known for its “Scary Farm” event in the fall. Monsters and ghouls lurk in every inch of the park and scare the wits out of guests. The event is recommended for those over 13 (or with the tolerance of being scared at every turn). A lesser-known daytime event for children was previously confined to the Camp Snoopy section of the park. This year, Knott’s has stepped up its October family friendly offerings with “Knott’s Spooky Farm.” The inaugural event spans the entire park and offers children a variety of non-scary events to put them in the Halloween spirit. “Knott’s Spooky Farm” takes place during daytime operating hours, weekends through October 31. Upon entry, children are given a trick-or-treat bag. Head directly to Ghost Town where friendly spirits await with a variety of sugary treats. Ring the doorbell at each station and say the magical words. The talented make-up artists and costume makers have created a crew of friendly ghosts, which are personalized by the upbeat and enthusiastic talent eagerly waiting to interact with visitors. Over in Fiesta Village, kids of all ages can walk through the newly created “Spooky Hollow Maze.” Travel through a spooky forest, where pumpkins, scarecrows and a variety of characters await your visit. There are numerous photo opportunities here to capture memories and snap a selfie. The build team has done a great job utilizing a variety of props to create a memorable experience. Inside the “Monster Masquerade Ball” (Boardwalk Ballroom), craft projects and karaoke fun are available. Knott’s staffers are willing to assist. Say hello to the “monsters” inside! The “Creepy Crawler Cabin” near the Pony Express features real critters of all sizes. This experience is not only “creepy,” but educational. The staff inside the cabin are some of the friendliest in the park and are always a wealth of knowledge. “The Monsters are Coming Charlie Brown” is a live show at the Camp Snoopy Theatre. Charlie Brown and friends prepare for Halloween in an upbeat performance featuring the season’s most popular spooky songs. This is another great photo opportunity, as your favorite characters will be dressed in their Halloween best! At 3:45pm at the Camp Snoopy Theatre, there is a costume contest and dance party. Those that come in costume can participate in the contest and everyone can join in on the fun. Knott’s is also offering a variety of Halloween themed treats and meals throughout the park. The Ghost Town Bakery has seasonal desserts. The Gourmet Coffee Hut in Charleston Circle features Starbucks pumpkin lattes and pumpkin cream filled Bundt Cakes (literally, to die for). Really hungry? Try the Monster Burger at the Ghost Town Grill. This giant hamburger patty is topped with spicy sausage and variety of toppings on a black bun. The Churro Factory in Ghost Town is offering seasonal variations. For an additional charge, visit Miss Doolittle’s on Main Street where you can make a custom necklace or key chain from a variety of wooden charms and beads.
